Certain Lies
The day you're born, you start to die
Everything you do brings you nearer
Gray mist hovers in the air as you cry
Bright tears - but your vision's no clearer
I want to tell you to stop, but I don't want to try
I know already what you'll say - "Everybody dies."
Every day your life's a gamble
Mortality's in your hands
You made a choice
To stop your voice
Since "no one understands"
You want to be alone tonight
But I can't walk away
I want to tell you how I care
But know just what you'll say.
Everybody dies, or Life is nothing but a game
You've taken life into your hands
You think that no one understands
And really, that's a shame
I throw my life away with you,
Because we are the same.
