It started with kind words
Then there was the mind
Behind the kind words
And the mouth that gave them to me
And the eyes that touched my soul.
Before I knew it,
I had fallen in love,
And nothing would ever be the same
But you're onstage, with the spotlight shining on you,
And I'm waiting in the wings.
On the outside, looking in at you...
"All the world's a stage..."
We are actors,
Trapped in our roles.
Playing our parts...
You in your world, me in mine
Our fingertips touch...
For a moment
