Oh, God, it's late. I had a total blast online tonight, talking to Ryan Donovan, Kat, Josh, Justin, and Cori, but finally got offline about 1 am, then I worked on the Sorak Website for...um...two and a half hours. I was kinda in the zone for a while there. Then my eyes started watering. I realized I hadn't blinked lately. Oh, my hands hurt just typing this. My hands hurt, my eyes hurt, and I need to sleep. I'll write more tomorrow.

But first, an excerpt from what I am typing for the Sorak Website (thank God I'm getting paid):

Another source of meat that isn't mentioned on pet food lables is the bodies of dogs and cats. In 1990 the San Francisco Chronicle reported that euthanized companion animals were found in pet foods. Although the pet food company executives and the National Renderers Association vehemently denied the report, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the FDA confirmed the story. When the label says "meat and bone meal" it can legally include dead pets/animals (from roadkill or vet's offices) that have been ground up in rendering factories. If they were wearing chemical flea collars or had been treated with antibiotics or steroids before they died, those get ground up with them. So does the plastic bag around the body. One factor is that the cooking methods used by pet food manufacturers and rendering plants do not destroy many of the hormones used to fatten livestock, or the medications such as those used to euthanize dogs and cats.

Are we all grossed out yet? Yes? Well, then, my work here is done.

comet241: i dont know what to do. i was invited to sammi dawsons party...um, no

Practice for The Good Doctor today! Yay! Other than that, the plan is to play on the computer, try to work out a way to see the boyfriend, etc. There's nothing I really want to update, but if anyone reading this has any requests, please let me know.

A tired song keeps playing on a tired radio...

Logan came over tonight and we watched South Park and American Pie. It was a blast. Tomorrow there's rehearsal for The Good Doctor at 2:00.

Hey, did everyone see this? There's new stuff at The U-High Underground! Well, it's about time!

People - call me! We need to make plans for New Year's Eve! C'mon, you know you want to! Oh, and big thanks to Justin, who found my pager! Yay! All right, I hope to update a little tonight, but Will (evil brother) is here (damn!) so that will make it more difficult (damn.)

So you're standing on the ledge...looks like you might fall...

Watched Drive Me Crazy, which I had never seen before, on HBO, and so now I'm giddy. NeeeeeeeeeeeMwahaaaaa!

Ran into Kat, Josh, Jonathan, Krystal, Jessica Sprague, Ryan Apple, Nate Cardinal, and Angie Fulton at the mall today. My God, it was like a Fate-Orchestrated Reunion. There was a disaster involving someone's Christmas gift, but I can't talk about it because I know that occasionally he actually reads this. (Shocked?)

Anyway, so Logan's calling me later (yeah right?) and I'm listening to my new CD's on the computer and doing the updates thing. I know this makes me a freak, but this is my idea of a night of fun. ::shame::

Blessed be!

Eminem is not dead and Josh is getting some moles removed. I'm getting in trouble for saying that Killoggs is not pretty on this page. Go visit it and decide for yourself. It's not a pretty site. Which is not to say it's ugly, it's just not pretty. Poll coming soon. Killoggs should thank me for getting more people to visit them. =)

Today I'm going to participate in the Grand Tradition of Returning Things to the Mall the Day After Christmas. I did get lots of good stuff, including a digital sound recorder (YAY!) and some new CD's, and a book that I read in one day called Bridget Jones' Diary (v.g.) - not the book's fault I read it all in one day. I had to spend the day with relatives. Oh, I love books. They're such a great escape, and good for your brain too.

Lots of people have applied to 'blog with me & Cori - must be because I advertised on Today's Domain Online. Thanks TDO! One of the girls' sites doesn't work though - got 404 error for fourth day. So, Amanda, wherever you are - Please drop me a line when you've got things working.

I'm off to learn PHP and finish reading my e-mail. Bye now.

OK, seriously, now, is Eminem dead or not? This is kind of pissing me off. [newsflash thanks to Amy.]

kellie rai: what?
Wild Katzy: they keep trying to tell me what i like

Conversation with Justo.

kellie rai: hey, we were just talking about you.
Ithiophilis: were you? what was said?
Ithiophilis: (you and Kat I would presume)
kellie rai: you presume correctly.
kellie rai: we were saying that you are not a "touchy-feely" person.
Ithiophilis: not with anybody but Cori.
kellie rai: exactly.
Ithiophilis: Never had been up untill she came along.
kellie rai: It's nice to have someone who lets you be affectionate, isn't it? :-)
Ithiophilis: It's not just nice. It's...
Ithiophilis: its more than nice.
kellie rai: it's comforting...
Ithiophilis: that too.
Ithiophilis: Why do I miss Cori already?
kellie rai: I know how you feel. Logan left today for Iowa.
kellie rai: ::whine::
Ithiophilis: Maybe because her picture is on my desk, and her certificate of love is on my keychain, and the watch that she got me is on my wrist, and our song is stuck in my head.
Ithiophilis: When's Logan get back?
kellie rai: The 27th. When's Cori coming back?
Ithiophilis: 26th
kellie rai: where is she, anyway?
Ithiophilis: Tennessee. With her grandparents.
kellie rai: oh well... absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Ithiophilis: I don't like that saying.
Ithiophilis: I don't give a damn if my heart is flippin' fonder or not!
Ithiophilis: I wanna see my baby!
Ithiophilis: ::calms down::
kellie rai: ::Sighs::

Well, today was kind of a nothing-day. I got up at 9:30 and played around on my computer all day. I watched Dream for an Insomnaic which is one of my favorite movies even though I'm hardly an insomniac anymore and I was never Italian in the first place. It's a great movie, and it's on HBO, and depending on time zones you might still be able to catch it. I highly reccommend it.

"So many things in life are mediocre. Love shouldn't be one of them." -Dream for an Insomnniac

Anyway, help send Josh & Kat to the prom and read my psych assignment on memories.

The story continues...

Wild Katzy: kellie
kellie rai: Hey.
kellie rai: :-)
Wild Katzy: what were you going on about last night?
Wild Katzy: you said i could know today
kellie rai: http://blackglass.org/kellie/projects/joshandkat.html
kellie rai: i think if nothing else, it's pretty amusing. :-)
Wild Katzy: kel-LIE
kellie rai: ...what?
Wild Katzy: does josh know about this?
kellie rai: probably not yet, but he will...
Wild Katzy: god almighty
Wild Katzy: he will RIGHT NOW!
kellie rai: okay, okay, that's fine with me...
kellie rai: Jeez...

I'm a little bit afraid...Well, if you want the rest of the story, it'll be online here in a few minutes. =)

More humor through AIM conversations

The White Stick: Kellie, you going to the mall tomorrow to scout for hot guys?
kellie rai: me? no...why?
kellie rai: why would I want a hot guy? I've got Logan. :-)
The White Stick: The whole hot thing.
kellie rai: who needs the hot thing?
The White Stick: People.
kellie rai: I've got the sweet adorable lovable thing. :-)
The White Stick: *shrug*
The White Stick: You have Logan. ;-)

I am talking to Josh and Dan and drinking some Gloria Jean's Chocolate Fudge Hot Cocoa. It is damn yummy. No one ever e-mails me. Why is that?

After staying up too late last night on the internet, I went to breakfast with my mom this morning at Zorba's, we talked and it was nice. Then I went to the Milner Library to chill for a while. I sent my mom an e-mail to let her know where I was. This is how she responded (Quote):

oh....OKAY. Don't forget there are people called "friends" that you could try to interact with....

(Endquote). I wonder if everyone's mom thinks their child is an anti-social loser, or if it's just me...

I don't believe it! Logan had a snow day today! What the hell...?

My mom got home and requested that I make chocolate chip cookies. I agreed. I'm going to get fat(ter).

Kat was the first to fill out (part of) The Cliff Game Part III. Here is one of the questions, and her response.

Todd Presson, Logan Beaver, William Powell:

I would have to live with todd. which means i'm either screwing kellie's boyfriend or her brother...well, kellie, i'm going to have to sleep with logan so i don't have to kill him. And i'll kill will for ya. You like that better right?

Hell yeah, Kat. Hell yeah.

More from Kat:

Wild Katzy: steve is a football head
kellie rai: that's nice.
Wild Katzy: his head got shoved in a disk drive and now it looks like a football
kellie rai: Hm. Strange... How did it fit in a disk drive?
Wild Katzy: legat shoved his head in the disk drive when they were drunk
kellie rai: But how did it fit? Disk drives are tiny.
Wild Katzy: it took alot of shoving
Wild Katzy: then he woke up and felt kinda weird so he looked up and in the mirror he saw what had happened
kellie rai: okaaaayyy...

Do you like this journal? Then please take a second to go to: dotLINKS and search for "Instant Connection." When it comes up, click on "Rate It," then enter a number between 1 and 10. Thanks!!!

I have created a page for updates, so there will no longer be announcements of what has been recently updated here in the journal. Now there will only be updates about what's going on in my life.

Here are some announcements, in case you were previously unaware: Julie is dating David Robinson, Doug is dating Samantha Slama, and Eric is dating Rebecca Holtzman. All of these new couples hooked up within, like, a week or ten days. Semi-eerie. Kat is now long overdue for a boyfriend. Pobrecita.

It's only 4:46 p.m. and it's dark. Ugh. Winter. Gag. Four days till Christmas. I'm getting slightly impatient, and also, I'm going slightly mad. (At least according to Rob Caroll, who decided that "I'm Going Slightly Mad" by Queen was the Electra themesong a few weeks ago. I downloaded it today. Damn, Queen was amazing...)

Second day of winter break. Ehhh... I'm trapped at home. Alone. I'm updating a little. Some new Talking Heads in the Hall of Fame, by Kat and Josh. If you have any reccommendations for songs I should download, or requests for page updates, I'm on AIM right now (kellie rai) or ICQ (29742572), or e-mail me at: youradreamtome@hotmail.com. (I suspect that "kellie@blackglass.org" may be having problems...)

Inside Joke of the Day:

First day of winter break! Yay! I'm at Justin's house. Cori is here too. She and Justin are on the bed, "fighting." I'm happy as long as I can hear them talking. I'm using his computer to update 'cause I'm kinda bored. I came over to help with his little sister's cookie baking party. It ended at noon, now we're just hanging out. I don't have anywhere to be until almost 3:00. Blah.

Josh is supposed to be in town, and The Guys are going to game tonight at 8 p.m. Supposedly Kat is going to call/page me at some point so we can do something tonight, but I don't know if I'll be able to. Damn I wish I had a car of my own. Damn.

Aite, well, I have nothing left to say, I'm going to go check my mail.

"Augh! You just bit my shoulder! Dear Lord! Eek! No blowing the ear! Eek! Eek! Eek!" -Cori.

"Your words are like drugs, Kellie!" -Ryan Donovan. [ his blog ]

Everyone like the holiday makeover? I'm glad. I'm glad about lots of things. I'm almost done with my finals. Just one more, tomorrow - Algebra II/Trig. Yuck. Today I played lots of Egyptian Rat Screw (Slap) and lost miserably, and some Euchre, and went to Pizza Hut for lunch buffet (thanks Justy!)

The Good Doctor is going to Theatre Festival! Sing it with me...

This is the show that never ends
It just goes on and on, my friends
It started as a one-act, with Justin Mayo
That was in November, more than a year ago
This is the show that never ends...

Everybody, sing along...!!

Tengo una mala resfriada. (I have a bad cold.) Speech coach called this morning to say we weren't going to the tournament at Olympia. Dammit. Oh well, I got to get some extra ZZZ's and some extra time to not study for finals. That's right, I do not have to study for any finals. Go right ahead and hate me.

The birthday party for Julie, Steph, and Katie Holtzman is today at Julie's house. We're supposed to have a blizzard today. I love living in Illinois.

Conversation with Julie Fish. ;)

julielinx: know of any good hiding places in school? during the day?
kellie rai: there's one couch in the dock, and one in the green room. green room is better because there's a heater that is so loud I don't think anyone could hear even if you screamed.
julielinx: okkk..
kellie rai: julielinx: do you know this from personal experience?
kellie rai: never screamed, no.
julielinx: trying not to laugh
julielinx: maybe I'll just have to ambush him tomorrow
kellie rai: have fun.
julielinx: but suposedly he has to study and can't hang out...
kellie rai: ambush him.
kellie rai: he'll thank you later.
kellie rai: well... you don't have to spend all day in there. ;-) just fifteen minutes before he goes home.
julielinx: but a good make-out session can last two hours
julielinx: or more
kellie rai: Yeah, but if you don't have time, well...It doesn't have to be the movie, it can just be a nice little preview. ;-)
julielinx: I don't think I've even seen him for two hours straight
kellie rai: aw.
julielinx: I can tell you're really simpethetic
kellie rai: I am.
kellie rai: I've been there.
kellie rai: Tech Week. I lived there.

Well, okay, here's a quick re-cap because I haven't written in so long. Friday night - Megan the Red's party was a blast - we watched South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut and X-Men.

I had to get up early the next morning (Saturday) and go to Speech. I didn't break finals. David Foster is a Speech God. He got 1st place in Oratory and 5th place in Prose. Well, anyway, after my crushing defeat, and after I decided that I would remain a member of Speech Team mostly for the purposes of being their cheerleader, I went to the Winter Ball in the company of Doug and Allison Borst, and Samantha Slama, Doug's new chippie (Just kidding). It was kinda boring... Then Logan showed up, so we talked a lot, and danced a little. Thanks be to Dan for taking me and my brother home.

The next morning, which was yesterday, I got up early and my mom went to the train station. I picked up Logan for breakfast, afterwards, I went home. Then I took my brother to my grandmother's, then I went to my Chorus Holiday Concert, where they asked me at the last minute to run the curtain. I got through this almost without episode, but suffered painful blisters and splinters. Then I watched The Simpson's at Logan's and went home to a quiet house.

The next morning, which was today, I woke up and found that it had snowed. After consulting with my mom, I called Dan's house, and after consulting with Dan's father, I called my mother back to report Dan wasn't going to school because it was icy & dangerous. Mom decided to excuse me from school because it wasn't safe for me to drive. So I stayed home all day and played on the internet and talked to Logan and worked on memorizing my DI, which is called "Patter for the Floating Lady." It will be added shortly to the Monologues section. There is also be a new section for Christmas Carol Parodies and there is one new quote. I will be updating lots tonight since I have nothing more important to do, other than a math worksheet and working on memorizing my DI.

More later, probably.

Nothing much happened today and I got to see Logan so it was a good day. Cori has agreed to be a part of the chosen few. Yay! Now all I need are, like, three or four other people.

My father, who I have not spoken to for...quite some time...Perhaps a month...e-mailed me a few days ago to ask about the dates of the play because some other relatives wanted to know. I just read the message today, so of course, I am not going to reply. But the thing that bothers me is this; he also wrote: I love you and I think I always will.

He has a funny way of showing it, I think.

I'm going to do a Dramatic Interp for Speech that is an eight-minute play by Steve Martin about love ending. Josh is writing a monologue for me for Tomokofest, the Thespian Talent Show. I will also be a facilitator for TALENT. Yippee. More meaningless points on a yellow index card. I am so thrilled.

Hey, everyone! There's a new idea going around to reduce gas prices: For the rest of this year, don't purchase gasoline from the two biggest companies, which are currently EXXON and MOBIL. If they're not selling, they should be inclined to reduce their prices - and if they do, the others should follow. So remember: DON'T BUY GAS FROM EXXON or MOBIL, at least until they get their prices down to around $1.28.

Well, tech week for Electra came and went. I think I did the best I could, and that's what really matters. There were disasters, there were fights, and there was the growing and festering of hatred. And everyone seems to be falling apart except Josh, who seems to be fine. At any rate, I'm proud of my performance and that's all anyone can ask. Logan's coming over today to watch Fight Club and some other flicks. JST MYN has been postponed until further notice, and by the way, speech coaches just don't know quality prose performers when they see them!!!

Congratulations to Justin, Eric, Jessica & Nikita, and everyone else involved in the one-acts. "Glory is fleeting, but pride is eternal."
