Never made it to Kat's house last night. Too tired. Josh told me he'd be in town all the five-day weekend, yet, I never saw him, he never called or paged, as far as I know. ::disappointment::

Will was on the computer practically non-stop yesterday, I never got a damn turn - too tired to fight with him - so I set my alarm clock for seven this morning - I didn't actually get up till nine - and I'm downloading "Alice's Restaurant" the 21-minute song by Arlo Guthrie. I love that song...Anyway, Will finally woke up (DAMMIT!) and now I'll never hear the end of it, until I surrender. Never! Never I say! Never!

Thanksgiving at the Powell/Benner residence was indeed boring and filled with old people (the relish-tives). Kat and I are currently fighting on AIM over who gets to have a party tomorrow. She wins. Tomorrow, Kat's house. 5 to curfew. Okay, now we're fighting some more...

Wild Katzy: ok my house, 5 until curfew, and bring logan if you want
kellie rai: I'll talk to him about it.
kellie rai: is this open?
kellie rai: open-invite, I mean?
Wild Katzy: essentially
Wild Katzy: all the usual people
Wild Katzy: don't go putting up signs or anything
kellie rai: BLAH. can I bring both Logan and Neal?
kellie rai: And are the Borsts invited?
Wild Katzy: *rolls eyes* i don't care....
Wild Katzy: sure
Wild Katzy: tell logan and neal this is a DRUG FREE ESTABLISHMENT
Wild Katzy: otherwise, yeah whatever
kellie rai: Screw you Kat. They would not bring drugs to your house.
Wild Katzy: i know
Wild Katzy: i was joking
Wild Katzy: and no, not screw me
Wild Katzy: i'm just pissed at steve right now
[Kellie's mental response:] So what else is new?

GRRRRR...where is everyone? I'm going to see if I can get Frogger to work on my computer. Poor Eric works until 9:00 tonight. Perhaps I'll drop by and harrass him @ Target. Heheheheheheh...I may go play Yahoo! Euchre...I haven't done that in a long, long time...Later all.

This really annoys me - I check my mail, 43 new messages. Too bad all but 2 of them were junk mail. (f'n junk mail...)

Yesterday I went to school, collected homework, made up my Concierto Siniestro quiz which was very difficult, went to practice (no one could stop laughing and I really feel bad for my directors) went up to my speech appointment at 5:40 only to find that Mr. Allen and the entire FIRST faculty had abandoned the 3rd floor, waited around till Logan showed up, hung out with him for a while, dropped him at his house at 8:00 (his school doesn't get the day off today, grrrr), then killed time with my mom until 10:00, when we picked up my brother and went home. (Wow, that was truly a run-on sentence.)

So I'm supposed to clean my room this morning, then take my brother to Diving Practice (yes, Will has joined the diving team), then go watch Normal West's one-acts practice (it's the only chance I'll have, since their tech week & performances are going to be at the same time as our's), then I guess hang out with Logan & co. or something...

Tomorrow I have to help my mom cook, the old people arrive at 1:00 and leave at 3:30. To minimize socialization with these relatives I will be hiding out in my room for substantial amounts of time. (...help me...)

So here are some things I'm thankful for: a five-day weekend, my friends, being cast as Electra, and the Thanksgiving X-Files marathon on FX. Happy holidays everyone.

Stayed home sick today. And a good thing, too, for Kat tells me that the Concierto Siniestro quiz does, in fact, cover vocabulary. To tell the truth, I'm not in that bad of shape. I have a monstrously sore throat, muscle aches, sinus pressure, the works... but my brain is functioning, which is good. I probably could have gone to school today, but... why bother? This is the first whole day I've missed all year! I just hope we didn't have a practice essay in ApLit... I don't know exactly what they'll do without me at Electra practice... Surely they'll find something... Perhaps they'll teach Pete to stop talking in a monotone? (I can dream, cant I?) I think I'm going to continue going through my "Favorites" for a while, then go study espanol. If anyone wants to bring me chicken soup that's cool. Or if you want to send me money, that's good also.

I'm going through my "Favorites" and deleting the ones that don't exist anymore.

I can just hear you saying, "How exciting!" right now.

Poor Logan...he went to help build the set for his show at 9 a.m. this morning...and he has not returned home yet. If he had, he would have called me.

Never under-estimate the power of denial.

See post below for "Today's New Stuff!" Oh, and if you go to the bottom of this page you will learn that this journal now has a counter!

I can just hear you saying, "How exciting!" again, right now.

Simpson's tonight! Yay!

Well the concert was good, and Logan and I went out with Cori Justin, and Julie afterwards. We ate and then went to Justin's house to play some YDKJ. Justin gave me an unopened copy of Myst, which apparently everyone else in the free world already owns - including Justin.

Logan and I talked online for a good long time, but finally he abandoned me for sleep. Justin, however, is still online and chatty.

Ithiophilis: Can I ask you a rather personal question?
kellie rai: I suppose so.
Ithiophilis: (you really don't have to answer because it really isn't any of my business.)
Ithiophilis: (at all)
kellie rai: okay. go ahead.
Ithiophilis: How far have you gone with Logan?
kellie rai: Are you sure you want to know this? I mean, you told me once you'd rather not know about other people's sex lives. Once I tell you I can't un-tell you.
Ithiophilis: I understand that.
Ithiophilis: I asked the question.
Ithiophilis: I wanted to know.
Ithiophilis: But again, It's really none of my business. So if you're uncomfortable in the least bit... just don't tell me.
kellie rai: Ummmm...I will say that I have seen him naked, and leave it at that.

Check out message board for a couple Stick & Co. announcements, and there's also a poem.

Today is the Distric Choral Music Festival (or whatever it's called). Cori and Julie are both in it. It's at 5:00 today at the Bone Student Center, in Braden Auditorium.

Well, I saw Death and the Kings Horseman at ISU tonight, and it was very good. While there I saw Doug and Allison Borst, as well as Carrie Grez. and my director Ms. Druse (sp?). I need to call Legit ASAP. Eek.

Today kinda...I don't know... it wasn't exactly bad but I found myself wanting to retreat into madness.

Well, I'm all alone in the house and a little bit frightened. I kind of knew that would happen, but it's okay, because I intend to stay up all night anyway, working on my site. There are already many, many, many new things. To highlight a few - two new quotes, two new photos, the November calendar, and a new ficticious conversation. *Yawn.* I need caffeine.

Today there's this Very Important Volleyball game, so everyone paid $7 to "go to the volleyball game...yeah..." 'cause it was an excused absense. I'm sure most of them didn't actually go to the game. I didn't feel like paying $7 (I'm broke) so I stayed at school, where we had a three-hour easy-to-sneak-out-of study hall. Dan stuck around and did his work, Kat helped, and I played on the internet and wrote this.

Josh is finished with the rough draft of JST MYN. (He put in a space. I'm not sure how I feel about that.) I'm having extreme technical difficulties getting this stupid computer to do anything I want, including downloading the script. Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn. Anyway, I'm going to leave soon and go eat lunch, then pester people to buy Butter Braids. (Another stupid fundraiser for the Chorus trip to Boston.) If you would like to make a donation to the Send Kellie to Boston Fund, you can mail your cash donations to: Kellie Powell P.O. Box 456 Normal IL 61761. (No, that is not a made-up address, it is my dad's actual post office box.)

Expect major renovations to the site this weekend. Yay!

First rehearsal for Electra was today. God, I am so excited. I have so many things to do, and I really should go do some of them. Soon Never Better is going to get a lot of new stuff. Major overhaul. My mom's going out of town all weekend, and I'll have the house to myself and plenty of time to work on the page, since I can't have guests over.

Anyway, yeah, write me, post on the never board, or rent a better apartment.

Speech Meet Friday night and Saturday morning - I was late to my party, then got three hours of sleep and went back to Speech again for round three. I didn't do so well at the meet, I was ranked 5th out of six people in all three rounds. David did really well though, he broke to semi-finals. The only person to break finals (out of the five kids there from U-High) was Matt Iodice, he won 6th place in Extemp. It was pretty sad. Logan showed up though for moral support towards the end of the day, and we stood and clapped, the four of us, for Matt, and also for the people from West and NCHS.

On the plus side, I found out Thursday night that I got Electra in "Electra," one of the one-acts. Julie F. and Kat (Helgeson) are both in the "Chorus." Jessica Rubenacker is Clytemnestra, my mother, and Rob Carroll is my brother, Orestes. It's really amazing to finally be given a chance like this. I finally feel validated.

The party was pretty bizarre...Not too well attended, though not too bad either. Dan had this giant "Peanut Butter Orgy" going in my living room, and we watched part of Braveheart and "American Psycho." (BAD MOVIE. DON'T WATCH IT!)

At the end of the Speech Meet, I couldn't get ahold of my mom because I had the wrong pager number for Will, and I had her phone. I kept trying to page her but, well, I had the wrong number. I guess I was only a couple digits off. Anyway, Logan and I were just standing around, going crazy. I tried calling my dad, my grandmother, her office, everyone I could think of, but to no avail. Mr. Allen (dorky speech coach jerk - be glad you're not on speech team this year!!!) finally insisted on driving us over to my dad's house, because he felt responsible for us and couldn't "just leave us" at Bone Student Center. I really wish he had though. When I got to my dad's, I was already stressed out and a mess, and when he started to yell at me, I just broke down and cried a river. He yelled at me, right in front of Logan, because I was ruining his plans. I was so upset...Logan tried to comfort me, but that just made it worse. Finally my mom called her cell phone to see what was taking so long, and I sobbed into the phone for her to come get me, and she left Taco Bell and came and rescued Logan and I, and I don't think I could forgive my dad. Maybe it's my own fault for being over-emotional, but he always acts like such an asshole, instead of a parent.

I saw Picnic today at ISU. Kind of blah, but the acting was very good. Very real. I have 82 lines in Electra, several of which are monologues. I have to get to work.
